Writing Retreat

In 2019 SNyMS organised its first Writing Retreat for members in Grindelwald (25-28 October). The second SNyMS Writing Retreat took place at Kloster Mariazell near Rapperswil-Jona from the 8th to the 19th of November 2024, and SNyMS' third retreat took place at Kloster Bethanien from the 19th to the 21st of September 2025. These retreats allow SNyMS members to focus on their personal writing project and push it as far as possible in two days in a supportive, constructive atmosphere.

SNyMS & nccr - on the move Writing Retreat 2026

From the 23rd to the 26th of March 2026, SNyMS organised a writing retreat in collaboration with the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research – The Migration-Mobility Nexus (nccr - on the move). The retreat took place at the Eco-Hôtel, l'Aubier, in Montezillon, in the beautiful countryside of the canton of Neuchâtel. As usual, the idea of the retreat was to offer the possibility to focus on an individual project and discuss it with a supportive and constructive community of other migration scholars, bridging, this time, the SNyMS and nccr - on the move communities.
