26 September 2025
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting SNyMS first conference for early- career researchers on the 26th of September 2025. This will be an event to provide a collegial space to young scholars to present current research, receive feedback, and engage in critical exchange with peers from across disciplines. The conference will take place from 13:30 to 17:00 at the University of Bern. It will be followed by an informal apéro from 17:00.
We really look forward to receiving your abstract and welcoming you on this occasion!
Call for Paper
The Swiss Network of Young Migration Scholars warmly invites early-career researchers—doctoral and postdoctoral—to participate in its annual conference at the University of Berne. This event provides a collegial space to present current research, receive feedback, and engage in critical exchange with peers from across disciplines.

Participants will give a 10–15 minute presentation of their ongoing research projects, followed by a 10–15 minute discussion and feedback round. We welcome contributions on all aspects of migration, broadly conceived. Submissions from all disciplinary backgrounds and at any stage of research are encouraged.

The conference follows the principle of “chacun·e sa langue”: participants are encouraged to present in the language in which they are most comfortable (French, German, Italian or English). Discussions will be multilingual.
