About the event
We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting SNyMS's conference for early-career researchers on September 17th, 2025. This event will provide young scholars with a collegial space to present current research, receive feedback, and engage in critical exchange with peers from across disciplines. The conference will take place from 10:45 to 17:00 at the University of Bern (Room 104, Hauptgebäude, Hochschulstrasse 4) and will be followed by an informal apéro from 17:00.
Speakers will give a 10–15 minute presentation of their ongoing research projects, followed by a 10–15 minute discussion and feedback round. We welcome contributions on all aspects of migration, broadly conceived. Submissions from all disciplinary backgrounds and at any stage of research are encouraged. The conference follows the principle of “chacun·e sa langue”: participants are encouraged to present in the language in which they are most comfortable (French, German, Italian or English). Discussions will be multilingual.
