Teresia is currently writing her PhD on “Access to Social Assistance for Persons in the Asylum Field” at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. She works at the Center for Migration Law and is part of the National Center of Competence in Research (NCCR) “On the Move – The Migration-Mobility Nexus” where she contributes to the project on EU Migration Law on third country nationals. Teresia passed her First and Second State Examination in Law at the University of Potsdam and in Berlin in Germany. She also holds a Master (Maîtrise en droit) in International and European Law from the University of Paris Ouest Nanterre. She has worked as a lawyer in the field of migration and asylum Law in Berlin, as an advisor on migration, refugee and anti-discrimination law for the Integration Commissioner of the Federal State of Brandenburg (Germany) and as legal counsel in the migration-related social services of the Berliner Aidshilfe.
