Personal background: Barbara studied Swiss and international law at the University of Bern, as well as European law at the University of Leiden (LL.M.). During her studies she worked for the Center for Migration Law at the Universities of Bern and Neuchâtel. After her studies she interned with the European Court of Human Rights as well as with a law firm. Since 2015 she is a PhD candidate with the NCCR – on the move at the Center for Migration Law at the University of Bern.
