Personal background: Anne-Cécile studied international relations and international law in Geneva. She has been a visiting fellow at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolivar in Quito Ecuador where she conducted research on irregular migration. Besides her PhD, she currently works for an office providing legal counseling to refugees and asylum seekers in Geneva. She also worked as a research assistant at the Graduate Institute of International and Development studies, as well as for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in Tanzania and for a humanitarian organization in DRC, Indonesia and Zimbabwe.
